To make the most of your LIVE session, broadcast the announcement of the intended day, time and topic of your session through email, website blog or prominent page and all social media channels.

During the session, have some prepared statements related to key points of the session and having your laptop nearby, post these key points when you are LIVE.

As viewers join the session, acknowledge their  presence by saying "thanks for joining us Marcus" or "where are you from Judy?"

Throughout the session you can direct people to an online resource to take an action: buy, request more information, download a coupon, take a survey.

Last week I participated in my first Facebook LIVE show. The topic was Facebook Pages and Group. I was invited to join Spencer Field from Orange Cube Group for this live session.

Spencer is the founder of Orange Cube Group, orangecubegroup.com, and everyone in the area knows him for his exuberant high energy presentations about all social media and online marketing. He is a thought leader in his industry. In addition to managing Orange Cube, he co-hosts something call Sprint Session, a brainstorming coffee shop session with a diverse group of folks who are community minded.

So I learned a few things about the setup for Facebook Live. Here’s the checklist.
