This month I received several support requests related to Yahoo email.
In October the company upgraded their webmail interface with major changes. This created some discontent with some of their 100 million webmail users, as evidenced by the online commentaries. On December 10 Yahoo had a significant hardware failure which took 5 days to restore service to near normal levels. This event also had an impact on users' experiences.

STEP 2:
Use a fresh link to log in to Yahoo webmail - mail.yahoo.com/
Delete your old shortcut to Yahoo and create a new shortcut. If you are relying on your browser (IE, Chrome, FireFox) autocomplete feature, this will find the old shortcut. To remove the old Yahoo address you will need to clear the link history in your browser(s).
In IE and Chrome Ctrl+Shift+Del brings up the options to clear history.
In FireFox you will go in through SETTINGS and find the Privacy icon on the OPTIONS toolbar. You will see another SETTINGS link next to “Clear history when FireFox closes”. Click the link and Clear Browsing History.
